Opening the engine

Looking for how good or bad is the engine before deciding what to do, I first took the Carburetor out, that's when I noticed that the fuel line from the tank to the pump was clogged, the carb to the pump was ok

I then opened the top of the engine which had no spark plug.. mmmcmmm not a good omen..

The cylinder head has a lot of carbon deposit, which means the engine ran for a while at least and probably with too much oil at some point

This head will need a good clean, it's 'heading' to the bead blaster to gently remove all the carbonization deposits, clearly the cylinder exhaust port show that there is cleaning to be done

Worse than that is that clearly water came through the cylinder. There is rust in there, it will need honing with oil and some gas to bring it back to life

And it found its way down to the bottom of the crank, so I guess it will be a full rebuild, including the bearings.. I will need to take the fly wheel and clutch out and see the extent of the damages. Not good :(
